    Training Courses

    Training Courses are available to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to implement the The Writing Road to Reading in a variety of educational settings. Course participants acquire knowledge and skills to teach scientifically-based language arts content and methodology. Courses can be taken face-to-face, fully online, or in a hybrid model.

    Resources

    Gain access to never before seen resources that have been created based on teacher requests. Resources are being consistently added and updated. The resources provide follow-up instructional support for teachers and educators who have completed course training with Spalding. The resources help assist school staff to effectively implement the Spalding Method regarding content and methodology and facilitate consistent exemplary student achievement across all grade levels.

    Spalding is time tested. The Writing Road to Reading is in its 6th revised edition and has been validated by current research that those who use the Spalding Method demonstrate higher and statistically significant learning as measured by DIBELS.

    Effective Instruction

    The Spalding Method reading instruction is explicit, systematic, and multisensory. The Writing Road to Reading incorporates all the components of effective instruction identified by the National Reading Panel including phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
